Goa, India

So this is at the beach in Goa! We went to Goa for a few days last week. It was a holiday here called Diwali! Its kinda of like their Christmas. The office was closed for most of the week so we decided to take a short trip! One of the managers in the office was able to get us a great deal on a all inclusive resort package at a 5-star hotel (well on India standards)! But it was still a lot of fun and we enjoyed being able to see another part of India. The first night we just spent some time on the beach at sunset. It was so beautiful and very relaxing! The next day the package included a sight-seeing tour. We were able to go to a Hindu Mausk, two really old Catholic churches, and a showboat cruise. Here's some pictures of the Mausk and old churches. They were built in the 1500's! Oh and in the red, brick church there are remains of St. Francis Xavier! He died in the 1500's and his remains are in a glass coffin, raised up so no one can touch him. He used to be available for the public to come see and have a good look at him, but then someone stole one of fingers so they decided to keep him out of reach!
