Dave was on his own for the 4th of July. The boys and I had already left for Utah. He spent the day in Washington DC and visited every Smithsonian he could find. He was able to sit right in front of the Washington Monument and it was the best firework show he had ever seen. Something he remembers is that three cell phone carriers (Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T) did not have service during the firework show. Coincidence? Who knows!
