Providence, Rhode Island

Savannah is looking kind of chubby in these pictures.
Its amazing how much they change in just a few weeks.

We got a new outfit in the mail from a friend, so we put her in it for our day out to Providence, Rhode Island.

Our first weekend in Connecticut we headed off to Providence, Rhode Island. For some reason I have always wanted to go there. We went to the Childrens Museum in downtown Providence. The boys absolutely loved it! They are still talking about going there. Their favorite part was these suckie tubes that you could put balls and scarves in to move around and shoot out.
There was a room about circuits and Dave was pretty excited to show the boys how it worked. They actually were interested in learning about them, well at least for a few minutes.

They had a water works room with whirlpools and water tables. Logan cannot get enough water in his life. He just loves playing in water. We stayed in this room for at least an hour the first time around then we came back to it for another thirty minutes before we left.

Trevor was getting in on the action too. He has been really into whirlpools and tornadoes lately. I think because they learned about tornadoes at school and made a homemade 2 liter bottle tornado.

Logan driving the ship. They had a ship about all the people coming to America for the first time.

There was tetris type blocks that you put together to build different things. Trevor was having a great time trying to build all the different figures.

They had a section about building things and engineers. Logan hung out here for awhile trying out all of the equipment.

Logan driving a truck with a hard hat. He kept telling me, "mommy, come see, come look at me."
Savannah did great hanging out in her car seat most of the day or in the baby bjorn.

We went to dinner after the museum then went to the river where they were having Water Fire.
We had a few people recommend it. Water Fire didn't start until dark, but they basically light up the water with a bunch of fire pits through out. They had several boats going around with fire dancers and then they would light the fire pits. We only stayed for thirty minutes, so I'm not sure what else happens there. But it was cool to see the city at night and water all lit up.
Trevor and Dave spinning around while we waited for the Water Fire.

 Right before the lighting.

The water lit up. It was fun to see Providence for the day. The one great thing about the northeast is how close everything is. Providence was only an hour drive from Hartford.
