An Apple Orchard and a Pumpkin Patch

Dave had last Monday and Tuesday off from school so we decided to take a day trip to North Georgia. Ellijay, which is where lots of apple orchards are and Burt's pumpkin patch. Some of our friends in Atlanta mentioned this is a good place to go and very family friendly. This part of Georgia is the bottom of the Appalachian mountains. Now these mountains are nothing like the Rocky Mountains, but they are some pretty good foothills and it is so beautiful! There are so many trees and they are all starting to change colors. Our first stop was the apple orchard. There were also lots of pumpkins here but don't be fooled, this only the apple orchard. We were able to go pick our own apples down in the orchard. Afterward we enjoyed some delicious apple pies! I think I could have eaten 3 or 4 of them! They were so good!
Daddy and Trevor getting ready to go pick some apples. We all got an apple sticker for going to pick apples.
Me and Logan....He loves the baby bjorn, it may not look like it in this picture, but he really is so content.
Trevor loved this big red truck so we got a picture with it.

Lots of apples on the trees!
Trevor had a hard time with this apple and asked, "no, daddy do it"

Love these boys. They did so good on our little trip. The drive was about an hour and a half. Trevor started getting restless the last 15 minutes or so, but overall did pretty good.

Check out these pumpkins! There were so many. This is just a picture of one side!
Trevor loved running through the pumpkins, he stopped for a picture after some convincing.

We went through a field of sunflowers. It was so pretty, these pictures do not do it justice.

This is a little pumpkin house that had a little story about how being a jack-o-lantern is like being a child of God. Because he picks us, cleans out a bunch of junk, and then puts a light inside of us. This a condensed version, but I thought it was cute. There are a lot of public places here that have a religious spin on them. Its admirable. We kind of enjoy it.
Logan is thinking what the heck are you doing to me...we attempted to have a cute pumpkin picture.
