Our sweet Savannah turned 4 months on July 2. We did a little picture taking with this happy girl. I can't believe how fast she is growing. It is amazing how quickly the time goes. The days are sometimes long, but the months and years are way too short. She is still a happy, chill baby. She loves her brothers and loves to watch them play. She does not like to be alone. And she sleeps best with lots of background noise. She still doesn't sleep through the night, but soon we will be able to work on that (once she has her own room again).
And what would be a photo shoot without these cute boys. They went through a little phase where they had me cutting out dinosaurs out of paper for a week. It kept them entertained all day. I'm not sure why paper dinosaurs are better than their plastic toy dinosaurs, but they definitely loved it.
We started our vacation weekend by heading north. We wanted to see all of the states in New England the fourth of July weekend. Dave had a four day weekend so we had some time to do a little road trip. We started by heading for Woodstock, Vermont. We stopped along the way for a little picnic. It was a beautiful day and we found a great little spot to eat our lunch. The picnic was complete with doritos chips and oreo cookies. The boys LOVED it!
In Woodstock, there is the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
They have a small visitors center, two mansion tours, a farm, and some hiking trails. We went to the visitors center and watched a short video about the people who had lived there and what the goal was for this historical park. Then we went for a little hike to see the horse carriages and small museum about them. It was such a great day and we all enjoyed being outside and exploring together.

Then we headed to Lebanon, New Hampshire. It was rated the #1 best small town to live in the United States. It was definitely small. We ate dinner there at one of the three restaurants we could find. It was a fun little stop. Then we headed to Hooksett, New Hampshire where we had a hotel for the night. The next morning we headed to Portland, Maine. We went to Fort William Park. It was a great park with walking paths along the coast, there was a lighthouse, a small museum, and of course a playground. We spent most of the day there just running around and enjoying the scenery.
You can't really tell, but Savannah is enjoying her time in the swing.

We stopped in a little shop to buy a Christmas ornament and the boys were begging to get these lobster oven mitts. Hilarious! But we left them in the store.
Then we headed down the coast to Salem Massachusetts. We found a spot overlooking the water to watch the fireworks. This is the only picture I got from that night, but it ended up being really fun. There was a orchestra playing and singers while we waited for it to get dark. We enjoyed some ice cream, Trevor and I had "Witch's Brew" and Dave and Logan enjoyed raspberry ice cream. Then during the fireworks show, the orchestra continued to play. It was really pretty great. Such a fun memory for our little family. We were originally planning on staying in Portland for fireworks, but we didn't want to drive for almost 4 hours back home after late night fireworks. So we quickly tried to find somewhere else to go. Going Salem was pretty spontaneous, but without much planning we were pretty happy with how it turned out. So grateful for technology for things like that!
We drove home that night and went to church the next morning, then we promptly started driving again, but south this time to New Jersey. We have some friends that were staying there for the summer and they happen to have three kids the same age as ours. So we went down to see them and stay the night. They were staying in a log cabin with a playground in the back yard and a beach 5 minutes down the road. It was so dreamy! I would have loved to stay there longer, or even the whole summer! Sadly, I have no pictures of this lovely couple days, but we really did enjoy ourselves!
