We took a little drive on conference weekend to Rome, Georgia. We thought a drive in the car would be the only way we could guarantee that we could listen to some of general conference of Saturday. Rome, Georgia was about an hour and 45 minutes away so we thought it was the perfect destination. We started the drive just before the first session, then landed in Rome just after lunch time. We have some friends that have lived there so they recommended a restaurant for lunch called the Harvest Moon Cafe. They have a famous pimento cheese burger, and it was pretty amazing!
Trevor did a great job coloring his menu. They get to hang it on the wall if they color it. He was a little sad to give it up, but we took a picture so he could remember it.
Trevor's hamburger was a little messy so he ended up eating the bun separately from the burger.
Then next store is the Honeymoon bakery so we stopped in for dessert.
Logan had a double chocolate cake pop.
Trevor had a double chocolate mini cupcake.
I had a mini reeses peanut butter cupcake.
The downtown strip of Rome was pretty quaint and full of fall decor. We had a great time taking a stroll as a family.
