Last Adventures in Georgia!

Oh man its hard to believe we left this place just weeks ago.

We tried to make a couple trips to the Buckhead YMCA that has a great outdoor pool. Savannah was happier with the chairs than the water. She would move it every 2 minutes and find a new place to sit back and relax. The boys were having a great time playing in the water with friends. Trevor became such a great swimmer this year and Logan learned to be very comfortable with his puddle jumper on. It was an easy day the pool for me!

We had a few days of staying at a friends house. One of the bathrooms in our town home was leaking, so our landlord said we needed to be out for a few days so they could fix it. Luckily, we had some amazing friends who were out of town for a couple weeks and wanted someone to check on their place anyway, so they offered it to us for a place to crash for a few nights. We were so grateful for their kindness! The kids had a great time exploring a new place. It kept them entertained for a couple days, then it was back to their own beds and toys. Logan and Savannah especially loved the deck that overlooked the common outdoor and pool area.

We definitely did the Chick-Fil-A dress like a cow day. One of our favorite days of the year. I really should get better at having cow costumes if we plan to go every year. It always seems to be a last minute, thrown together outfit, but we always get free dinner so that's nice! I think Logan was sad because he really didn't want to wear his cow costume. Poor kid!

Trevor was thrilled.

And Savannah didn't mind for a few short minutes. We used lots of leftover valentine decorations and stickers for the cow costumes.

One thing we will miss about Georgia is all the trees and amazing colors found there. Fall is a beautiful time to be in Georgia. This tree was right in front of our community and it was quite stunning on a clear blue sky day.

We went to pick blueberries at Sister Barbara Carlson's house. She has a pretty fantastic garden and is always willing to share when there's more than she can pick and eat herself. So we took advantage of the blueberries. The kids lasted all of 5 minutes but at least we got about 1/2 gallon of blueberries for free!

Sister Carlson also offered to let Dave stay with her and her husband so he could finish his thesis and defense while I packed up the house and took the kids to Utah. We were so grateful for her help and I think Dave appreciated the company instead of being left all alone.

We had one last play day with our friends, the White Family. We went to Morgan Falls Park to hike, play, and see the ducks.

Georgia Rain! Dave went out with the kids to play in one of our last southern rain storms. Everyone had such a great time! By the time they were finished they were all freezing, but smiling.
