Beach Vacation in Destin, Florida

We ended our time in Georgia with a beach vacation to Destin, Florida. My parents and brothers joined us for the trip. It turned out so well. The weather was pretty great, the waves were sometimes intense, but overall it was a great vacation. There were a couple of stressful moments trying to work out the details of our move across the country, but after the first day we tried to relax and enjoy the time we had away from the reality of life.

Savannah loved the water but HATED the sand. She refused to put her feet in it and did not want to sit on it at all. She was pretty spoiled most of the time being held by one person or another.

We are so incredibly grateful my parents made the trip with us. It was so great to have extra hands and help with the kids. They were also so helpful with moving and packing. I literally do not think we could have done it without them! They worked so hard for us and we will be forever grateful!
Trevor LOVED the beach. He loved being in the waves, jumping and swimming like crazy. He made me nervous a few times because the tide will pull him way down the beach, but he loved it. I could hardly keep up with him!
Logan also loved the beach. He loved playing in the sand and staying more in the shallow water. He learned to ride the waves in and was perfectly happy doing that most of time.

Grandma and Savannah
Savannah got a little cold one evening so we bundled her right up!
Handstands for days!

We went out to dinner to try out the local seafood. Even Savannah enjoyed some fried shrimp!

Here's the crew at our dinner the first night in Destin.
It was quite a late night for these kiddos, but overall they did pretty well being troopers and staying up late after playing on the beach for a few hours.

Savannah learned to love Uncle Kyle on this trip. She loved to just hang out with him and chill.

I believe Trevor or Logan picked this flower for me or Savannah so we put it in her hair. She owned it.
Savannah fell asleep pretty soon after we got to the beach one morning. Grandma must have the touch because she rarely just falls asleep in someone's arms. She normally really loves her bed to sleep.
On the way home from Destin, we drove through Auburn, Alabama. We ate at Chee Burger, Chee Burger. Someone on the street told us it was an iconic place to eat in Auburn. We tried it out. They had 1 lb hamburger to eat, and if you finished it you could get your picture on the wall. Dave and Kyle both finished it. I don't even think Dave was full afterwards. Crazy man!

The best picture of the trip. Trevor only held his handstand for a couple seconds, but it was captured on camera with the other boys. Proud mom moment.
