Logan's 1st Birthday

Logan had a birthday while we were in Utah. He turned the big number 1! We did a slip n slide party since this boy loves the water! Even the big boys, like his dad and uncles were going on the slip n slide.

Aunt Kelli was in charge of pictures with my camera, and apparently this was an important picture!
Logan was a little unsure about this cake business. He just looked at it like it would hurt him.
Then he got a taste and decided it might be worth trying some of it.

But don't worry, Trevor had no fear and dug right in! This kid loves cake. and cupcakes...and sugar in general.

Here's the party...mostly family and a couple of friends that have become family :).
yummy cake

Opening presents...and he had lots of help from his brother and cousins.
This was the only decoration. and it was inside. and we all stayed outside the whole night. but oh well at least I got a picture.
Logan is at such a fun age. I absolutely love that he is happy about 95% of the time as long as he has been fed and he gets to sleep in his bed. He loves his brother and wants to be just like him. He follows Trevor around trying to do anything that Trevor is doing. He wasn't walking on his birthday, but started walking Labor Day weekend. He's decided that he is big enough to do anything. He wants his shoes on so that he can walk from our apartment to the car all by himself, just like Trevor. He is very determined to eat all by himself too. Dave and I have to laugh because he is more independent than his 3 year old brother. He loves eating fruit. I can't put fruit on the table until he's eaten the rest of dinner because if he sees it, there is no way he's eating anything else. I guess there could be worse things. He still prefers to go to be at 7:30 and be up at 7. I tried to fight this schedule thing, but its just him and its what makes him happy. He is still kind of attached to his bottle and his binki, but one day we'll worry about getting rid of those. Probably soon, but for now its working and I'm going to enjoy a moment of things working with these two crazy boys.
