April 2017

I have finally gotten a few things on our walls. The office is done for now. My dad spray painted the chair for me and I love the pop of color in this space.

I turned 30! These pictures aren't the best for lighting, but we are just documenting. Dave made me an ice cream cake. It was delicious, but so rich! Full of chocolate and topped with chocolate and caramel.
Its the best to be sung Happy Birthday by your kids.

Look at this impressive ice cream cake!
One of my friends gave me two giant bags of girl clothes and a few boy clothes. Savannah was loving finding all sorts of new things. She loved these crocs because she could put them on herself. Then she found a whole stash of girls underwear. She got so excited to put them on and was very motivated to go potty on the toilet. So the potty training began! She did really well. We had a couple weeks of accidents every other day or so, but now she's got it!

We took the kids to the park on a Saturday because we all needed to get out of the house. Since I can't drive, I couldn't take them anywhere fun or really even go outside with them because I couldn't chase after them. So when Dave was home we all went out to enjoy the sunshine and play. It was a great day to be out. Oh, and Trevor lost his first tooth! He had a permanent tooth growing in behind and it had poked through the gums before the baby tooth got loose and came out.

Savannah found a pirate costume. She's one of the cutest pirates I've ever seen!

Since Logan has a summer birthday, he got to celebrate his birthday at school in April. He loved it! He loved having Dave, me, and Savannah there with him. He wanted yogurt and suckers as his treat to share. So we brought yogurt and vanilla wafers for the snack, then gave all the kids a sucker to put in their backpacks for later. Logan is sure excited to be 5 in July.

In the afternoon Logan still gets pretty tired. If he sits on my lap holding still for too long he will fall asleep. This happens every couple weeks or so.
Easter!
We started our Easter weekend with an egg hunt at a family's farm in our ward. It was so fun! There were lots of places to find lots of eggs. There were chickens to see and hay bails to jump on. The kids had a great time finding eggs and running around exploring.

Baby chicks!

Savannah was really excited about her chocolate.

Mmm....Yum!
After naps, we went to the pet store to play with puppies. We played with a golden doodle and he such a calm puppy. He hardly would play, but could care less if the kids were playing or petting him. He just hung out very calmly.
We painted eggs this year instead of dyeing them. It was a different experience, but fun. I think the kids enjoyed it, but it was a little more messy than just dyeing them.

Dave's birthday landed on Easter this year! So we made him breakfast and sang him happy birthday!
Then the kids began their Easter basket hunt through the house. It took them a bit longer this year, but they were all so happy to find baskets full of candy.

Logan just chillin out watching a show on the iPad. He has a rough life!
We got grass! At least in the front.
Logan's doggy dance after leaving the pet store.
Savannah accidentally broke a bottle of nail polish while I was painting her nails. It was pretty frustrating, but we got it all cleaned up. I had to throw away the skirt she was wearing and there's still some on the rug, but we got it all off of her and the floor.
Logan and Savannah decided they needed to gather supplies and build a fort. They got almost all the games out of our closet as their supplies and put the mattress up as their fort.

Snowing in April!
Playing hide n seek as a family. Savannah was our best hider.

We were watching a friends' kids so they could go to the temple. Their baby was sad so Dave took over. He is the baby whisperer. All babies love him. And he loves all the babies.
Just another day in paradise....boys in underwear and playing.
