We spent the first few weeks of August in Utah visiting family and playing! We did lots of boating with Grandpa and Grandma Canham. One of our favorites in the summer! All of the kids were brave and rode the tube together. Trevor did knee boarding again this year. And of course it was hard to keep them out of the water. They loved jumping off the back of the boat.

We took a little road trip to Elko, Nevada to visit Uncle Jordan and Aunt Kelli. We went to be a part of baby Graham's blessing. We were also able to visit Uncle's Jordan mine site and tour the mine. It was super cool to see all the big trucks and watch what they do there.

The kids absolutely loved the outside part of the museum with all the dinosaur sculptures. They would run from one to the next with such excitement about which one was next.

The next day we went to the Dinosaur National Monument.

Love these two boys and how good of friends they are. They really love each and can't get enough time together. Such a great relationship to watch! Love them!

On our drive home from the Dinosaur Monument we kept promising the kids we would stop for a treat, but we never found a place to stop on the drive. So the next day we took them to Cold Stone for their treat.

Ha! This picture of Dave makes me laugh every time. He had just gotten home from the coaches meeting so that he could coach Logan's soccer team. He was just being silly!

Trevor's first day of school was on August 23, 2017

Trevor has his second loose tooth. Its the other bottom middle tooth and just like the first one the permanent tooth is growing in behind it.

This is how we do Costco....reading books on the floor.

So we had some settling issues after a snow storm in May and some of our yard sank about a foot. So we had to cut up the sod and add lots of dirt (like 20 wheel barrels) to level it out again. It took Dave and I all day to get it fixed. So glad its done though!

I took Logan back to school shopping. He couldn't live without these batman sunglasses. So we got them and he was so thrilled!

Logan and I were practicing letters and he said, "So can I read now that I worked on my letters?" I'm so grateful he is making that connection between letters and reading. He's going to accomplish some great things this year and I can't wait to watch him grow!

Logan has also really been into singing lately. Tonight he shared a Hippopotamus song. It was about God creating the Hippo that weighed a ton and hip-hip hooray he created me! So cute! 

Also he said the other day that he was a raccoon and he eats garbage.

One more funny memory of Logan...

On our way home from dinner one night Savannah started saying she needed to poop. We told her we were almost home. Then Logan very confidently advised her "Just close your bum. Yeah, just close it up. It works for me!" Dave and I were dying laughing!

One of my favorites with my kids is one on one time with them. 

Dentist visit and everyone looks good! Yay!

We took an outing to the discovery museum here in Fort Collins. Savannah is a little singer. She loved this exhibit that you can sing into the microphone and hear yourself through the headphones.

Savannah is really loving Curious George. Anytime she sees my phone she asks to watch it. She has a stuffed Curious George that she puts to bed and says "Goodnight Sweetie".

 She still loves her "B" and is very content sleeping in her crib.

August was a busy month, but so much fun! Its really great to be able to be closer to family and drive to Utah to visit.
