September 2017

We started off September with a trip to Bear Lake with Dave's cousins. The weather turned out to be beautiful and we had a great time playing in the sun and the water all day. Dave's parents joined us for one of the days up there.

Dave and Trevor on the paddle board and Logan on the inflatable island.

The kids could not get enough of playing out in the water.

Savannah loved being on the swing

On Sunday we all went to sacrament meeting together. The church building up there does Sacrament meeting every hour and doesn't hold any classes. Then after church we headed back to camp and Allyson had a craft of making pillows for all the kids. My kids especially loved it!

Dave was a ladies man with all the little girls crawling all over him.

We made a stop to get some raspberry shakes.

We had a great time in Bear Lake with the Kim family. They are such loving and kind people. We were so grateful they invited us and that we could make it!
The day after we got home Logan started Pre-K! He was super excited to finally be starting school. He was so confused why Trevor started a few weeks sooner than him.

Logan also started soccer practice and a Let's Play Music class this week.
He really struggled at soccer practice because he doesn't like anyone being faster than him or taking away his ball. But he absolutely loves his music class!
Logan has been giving hugs to everyone he meets and petting every dog he sees.
We had a family night out in Old Town. We stopped for cookies at one place and ice cream at another place. I think the kids were super stoked that they got two treats in one night!

Trevor had his first night of real homework. He was proud of his handwriting and spelling skills. Afterwards, he was really happy and talkative. It was hard getting him settled for bed but fun to see the silly, happy side of Trevor.
At one of Trevor's soccer practices they scrimmaged at the end and he assisted a goal! He was so excited!
Trevor gave Dave a hug goodnight, then he wanted me to join the hug. Afterwards he said, "A hug leads to a group hug, then a group hug leads to a love." We thought that was cute and funny. Trevor is a really good speller and reader. He does pretty well at math too and seems to be enjoying his teacher Mr. Keahey.

Logan had his best soccer practice yet! He followed directions and stayed with his team. I think now that he's played a game he's a little more interested in practice.
Savannah got really upset today because I told her she's not the boss. Although I'm not sure she understood because it seems like she was more upset about me saying the word boss.
Trevor and Logan had their first soccer games of the season on September 9th. They were both super excited to play.

We found a grasshopper on the wall outside of Cafe Rio. We stopped there for lunch after the boys' first soccer games.
I started watching a friends baby, Knox, a couple times a month. The first time I watched him he was in the moby wrap most of the day and Savannah wanted to be just like me. Super fun to watch her try to be a little momma.

Sometimes Savannah doesn't take a nap when she's suppose to, so then she falls asleep on the way to soccer practice. She got a short little nap at the park while watching Trevor have soccer practice.
Trevor participated in the Bacon Fun Run. He did so good! Running as fast as he could. He made it around at least 35 laps, but maybe 40.

We found costumes and had to put them on.

We went on a field trip with Logan's preschool class to a natural area. He has lots of boys in his class and they all had a great time exploring and finding lots of sticks and cool bugs.

The whole class!

I was able to go on a field trip with Trevor's class to the Gateway natural area in Poudre Canyon. We learned about ants, butterflies, and small animals in the water. It was great to be with just Trevor and watch him interact with other people in his class. He is quite silly and loves to announce what he knows. He really enjoyed the ant hill and watching the ants trying to carry a pumpkin seed.
