June 2018

Starting the summer off with some play doh.

And we went to a water birthday party for a friend. All of my kids were invited which was nice. The boys loved running around and throwing water balloons at each other.

The birthday was for Logan's friend Nathan Packer. He loves trains so his mom made him a train cake and there was ice cream cones.

I had the opportunity to go to Day Camp with Trevor. It was an interesting, but fun experience. It was super hot and we were out in the middle of farm fields. Trevor wore Dave's big hat to keep him protected from the sun.

The boys had target practice with BB guns.

Homemade, giant kerplunk. Super fun game and a great idea!

We met up with some friends at a splash park. This is Savannah and her friend Eleanore. They really adore each other and get along pretty well, even though they are both pretty strong willed and have their own agendas.

Trevor and Logan went to vacation bible school for a week. They had a great time. The theme was shipwrecked. The church had some pretty amazing decorations set up. This was the giant jellyfish. My kids could not get enough of the jellyfish.

Trevor was baptized on June 16, 2018. I am so proud of him and grateful he made the choice to be baptized. I asked him a week or so ago if he felt like getting baptized was his choice or mom and dad's choice. He promptly responded he felt like it was his choice. I was so happy to hear that. He was counting down all week to his baptism.

He was baptized along with his friend Ethan Zielke.

We were able to have all of Dave's siblings, my parents,  Grandpa and Grandma Defriez, and my brothers join us for the baptism.

After the baptism, we headed to the YMCA of Rockies with Dave's siblings and his grandparents. We rented bikes for the first couple days.

Fishing together
At the YMCA, we did hiking, biking, rock climbing, tubing, swimming, mini golfing, roller blading, crafting, and fishing. Trevor made it to the top on a couple of the rock walls. Logan it made it up about half way on a couple. They both did really great!
After the busy week of the baptism, visitors, and the YMCA, Miss Savannah was so tired. This particular day she had already taken a nap, but got up and fell back asleep down the hall.

We went to Water World in Denver as a family as an early celebration for Logan's birthday. We all had a great time and we were not ready to leave at closing time. Logan and Trevor wore their goggles around most of the day. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home for a treat. The boys really enjoyed the wave pool and Savannah really loved the lazy river. The boys and I went on a racing slide with mats to lay on. Logan was a little nervous at first, but once we got to the top, he put his goggles on and he was ready! He waited patiently for the green light to go. That was a fun moment with my boys!
